AHU air‑handling units in lithium‑ion manufacturing plants run non‑stop year‑round, with strict requirements for airflow, static pressure, cleanliness and operational continuity. The on‑site original air handling units adopted the traditional configuration of AC induction motor plus belt‑driven centrifugal fans.
Conventional belt‑driven fan systems suffer multiple pain points. Mechanical losses arise from long‑term belt wear, leading to gradual system efficiency decay. Motor efficiency drops sharply under partial‑load conditions, resulting in high annual power costs. Frequent inspection and replacement of belts and bearings bring heavy maintenance workload. There is no operational redundancy for single fans; fan failure will directly disrupt clean‑shop production.
To meet the factory’s energy‑saving and carbon‑reduction goals, the customer launched an in‑depth energy‑saving technical retrofit for AHUs, without degrading air‑supply quality or interrupting continuous production. EBLUE delivered one‑stop EC fan‑wall retrofit services including site survey, fan‑wall solution design, product supply, installation and commissioning. All energy‑saving calculations of this project are based on the fair comparison benchmark of identical airflow and total static pressure, to ensure verifiable and auditable retrofit results.
